ATHLETIC HISTORY: Emmanuel Matadi is a Liberian sprinter, who won Division II NCAA national titles in the 100m and 200m at Minnesota State, Mankato. Matadi also won the Bronze Medal in the 200 meters at the 2016 African Championships, for Liberia. He currently holds the Liberian national record in the 100 meters and 200 meters. This is his first Olympic appearance.

RESULTS:

Men’s 100m-Emmanuel Finishes 6th in heat. He ranked 43 out of 69. Finishing time 10.31 secs. Emmanuel will not advance to the Semi-finals.
