LIBERIA NATIONAL ATHLETICS TEAM WIN BIG IN GUINEA

The Liberian Observer shared some great news, over the weekend. Liberia’s national athletics team won four medals at the West Africa Region II Senior Championships and the ECOWAS Junior Tournament in Conakry, Guinea. The competitions were held May 12-14, 2017.

On the Friday May 12th competition opener, Richard Mayango won a silver medal in the shot put junior men’s final, while Lucy Massaquoi received a bronze medal in the 1500m junior women’s final.

On the second day, Saturday, May 13th, Nancy Saah won the women’s high jump bronze medal. The next day, Kadmiel Enders won a gold medal in the men’s high jump.

Athletes Anis Faraj, Sunnyboy Barcon, Emmanuel Kartus, Andrew Kpehe, and others finished above 6th place in their respective events. Congratulations to all the athletes. Read the original article here.
