OLYMPIC UPDATE: Liberia’s Phobay Kutu-Akoi (100m)

Liberia has made its appearance at the 2012 London Olympics. Currently the Women’s 100m match is taking place and Liberia’s Phobay Kutu-Akoi has delivered a solid performance of 11:52. Kutu-Akoi represented Liberia in Heat 3 of Round 1 against Jamaica, Bulgaria, Nigeria, Lithuania, Great Britain, Colombia, and Gambia. She placed 6th and will, unfortunately, not be advancing to the semifinals. However, Liberia is proud of Kutu-Akoi for performing her best; please visit her page to congratulate her on a good performance. Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown, Bulgaria’s Ivet Lalova,and Nigeria’s Gloria Asumnu all qualified to move onto the next round.

LIBERIA’S 2012 OLYMPIC TRACK TEAM: National Record Holders

As the countdown begins to the Olympic Track & Field Competition, Liberians are tuning in closer to the London Olympic Games. The Athletics(Track & Field) Event is Liberia’s strongest event, at each Olympic Game. The FOUR,National Record Holding, Athletes who are scheduled to compete for the next TWO WEEKS are gearing up to light the track on fire. Let’s take a closer look at how they hold up.

JUDO UPDATE: LIBERIA vs.MOROCCO (Round1)

Liberia’s Levi Saryee will be competing against Morocco’s Safouane Attaf at 10:12 am BST. The winner of this round will be one step closer to, the Olympic Dream, a medal.

The advanced champion will then compete against the winner of the Brazil versus Latvia match. Liberia was one of seventeen countries that received an invitation to compete in the 2012 London Olympic’s Judo Competition. below is a list of how these two athletes matchup.
